Black Be Beautiful Mural Tour is a curated art walk inviting you to enjoy inspiring storytelling, beautiful murals, and honest conversation centering the intersectionality of the Black experience, no matter who's in office. Led by Chrissy, a neurodivergent native, storyteller, introvert and hood advocate - this experience takes you through "Norf" Philly’s larger than life Black murals and grassroots spaces, uncovering powerful stories that history conveniently ignores.

🎟️ Perfect for: Solo travelers, content creators, locals, groups, educators, social workers, students, celebrations, families, photographers, team bonding, and conference guests. All are welcome.

What does it mean to be Black in today's Amerikkka?

"I've lived in Philly for 17 years and it was great to explore a new part of the city, hear stories from a new perspective, and expand my world a bit further. It was easy to find Chrissy, she had a wealth of knowledge, complemented the tour with videos and images, and facilitated great conversation between the group members. I absolutely recommend the tour, especially to those who might not be aware of the parks and good things going on in North Philly." - Chrystina

"Must see! I had such an amazing time!!! Great opportunity to learn about local art, its history, and what the future holds for the beloved neighborhood. I will absolutely be checking out the Soul Food tour as well. Chrissy is beautiful, knowledgeable, and passionate about the area and the people who live in it."

Meet your guide

Chrissy, Hood Advocate + Storyteller

I am your socially awkward, mostly introverted Philly native who grew up "down Norf" when it wasn't cool to do so or "instagrammable". I live for thought-provoking conversations, building community and supporting Black humans to thrive, not just survive. In my free time, I enjoy the OG ratchet reality shows, thinking about sleeping, afrobeats, rnb and trap, accidently finding Black murals in Philly and beyond, listening to educational podcasts/vodcasts and growing as a human, mom, photographer and public speaker.

I look forward to chatting with you at an upcoming Black Be Beautiful Mural Tour!
