for BLACK PEOPLE only

Philly based social community to enjoy Black culture and make better friends in real life

philly experiences presents...

don't settle for another boring summer

This summer is packed with Black culture, art, food, music, events, festivals, concerts, and experiences happening EVERYWHERE.

And if you're tired of going alone or with lame people all the damn time, I created this for us.

This community was built specifically for Black women, men, and non-binary locals and visitors (ages 18 - 81+) who want to connect through Black culture, joy, laughter, supporting Black businesses, and intentional friendships without code switching.

No "people of color/allies" as plus ones, just Blackity Black folk who are craving in person connections without all the group chats and endless RSVPs.

introducing...

hi Philly! bye Philly!

-a summer series to enjoy their Blackness in person and in peace throughout Philly, Jersey, DMV & NYC

hosted by Chrissy of Philly Experiences

I CAN'T PROMISE YOU A BEST FRIEND...

But I CAN promise you access up to 499 vetted pro-Black people who actually want to get outside, connect, laugh, explore, and enjoy life this summer. Join the community today before registrations closes at 500 members or Fri. 6/12 (whichever comes first).

This series runs now through August 16, 2026.

Over the last eight years, I've built Philly Experiences and connected thousands of locals and visitors from all backgrounds to our Black and local culture through mural tours, bar crawls, food tours, shopping tours, digital guides, game nights, bus tours, wellness experiences, and more.

along the way, Philly Experiences earned:

🏆 Innovator of the Year

🏆 Travel Brand of the Year nomination

⭐ 300+ five-star Airbnb + Google reviews

🤎 Thousands of guests served

All of my events and guides support over 40 Black businesses throughout Philly. But while growing the business and meeting the demand for more exclusive events just for us and existing while Black in Philly/the world, being a mom, depression, losing family and childhood friends, it was the grieving stupid friendship breakups ( some ending over lashes, coke, a kaftan, and a ride to the laundromat) that really pushed me to this new way to chapter in life and business.

Don't miss this Black ass summer of minding our Black ass business!

I’ve done Chrissy’s Black Be Beautiful and Murals & Morals Hood Tour already, but I recently went on her new Soul Food Tour. Such a great tour!! I loved that I was able to participate in ethical tourism, find & support new Black owned businesses, and learn about the impact of gentrification from a native perspective and meet some awesome new friends all while enjoying delicious food! - Christina

F.A.Q

hi Philly! bye Philly!

you got questions, I got answers.

“wait… is this REALLY for Black people only?” yes. hi Philly! bye Philly! summer series hosted by Philly Experiences is intentionally created as a pro-Black social community and event series for Black adults. there are plenty of spaces centered around everybody else. this one centers us.

“do I have to live in Philly?” nope. we welcome: - Philly locals - surrounding tri-state residents - new residents - solo travelers - visitors - birthday groups - and Black people looking for community while visiting the city

“what ages are allowed?” this community is for Black adults ages 18+. some events may lean toward different age groups depending on the vibe, but all adults are welcome.

what happends after the summer? If members vote to keep it going, a waitlist will launch for this fall to continue creating opportunities for connection through culture, travel, wellness, food, friendship, and Black joy. Join today to be apart of that vote.

“are all events free?” No...this is a mix of: - free events - pay what you wish experiences - premium experiences members receive exclusive pricing and access.

“what does the community support fee cover?” Your one-time support fee helps fund: - community operations (venue, snacks, beverages, host fees, etc.) - volunteer training + stipends - discounted experiences ... and the growth of more intentional Black spaces It also helps prevent random lurkers and bad energy from joining.

“will there be events outside of Philly?” yes. all day trips must be voted on to happen, some experiences include: - Atlantic City - NYC - DMV - future expansion opportunities

“is this LGBTQIA+ friendly?” absolutely. hi Philly! bye Philly! is LGBTQIA+ owned and inclusive. I believe in embracing the intersectionality of Blackness. healthy platonic friendships are encouraged across Black men, women, and nonbinary adults.

“i haven’t had good friendships in a minute and want to give up looking. Is this still for me?” yes, friendships end for dumb ass reasons that some of us can not get over and it hurts being open to that again. a lot of people joining are: - starting over socially - grieving friendship loss - rebuilding community - simply trying again

“what if I just want something fun to do this summer?” then welcome 😭 you do NOT need a deep reason to join, sometimes Black joy is enough.
