2022 Hood Tour Schedule

Dec 11 - Dec 17

The mural tour with Philly Experiences made my first trip to Philly a great experience. Chrissy's love for the city is very clear and I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the murals of West and North Philly. Learning the history behind the murals and the artists was insightful. I also enjoyed how Chrissy shared her personal experiences as well, making the tour more personable. I look forward to visiting the city again and definitely booking another tour with Philly Experiences.

Hmmmm where should I start!!! Chrissy was hands down PHENOMENAL! From her knowledge, personal experiences, hospitality and taking plenty of pictures/videos of me(significant other)!!! Seriously this Queen put the icing on cake to end my birthday trip. The tour is well put together to get a taste of Philly known areas. She shed some great knowledge about the murals and we had a chance to taste some of the local Philly snacks on the tour! This tour is definitely recommended if YOU are visiting the Philly area! Thank you again Chrissy for having us!!

We had a great time off the beaten tourist path. I really appreciate visiting with real people in their real lives outside of the city core and getting to see some amazing art pieces. Chrissy was a gracious host and we felt welcomed on our tour of her hood.

I went with my teenage sister and we both enjoyed the experience so much! Hearing the stories of the city and discussing the meaning of the murals allowed me to feel connected to the art and the city. It was definitely a unique tour that you couldn’t find elsewhere. Riding the bus and subway for the first time felt comfortable and safety was not an issue at all. Chrissy is so easy to talk to and engaging. If you want to see parts of real Philadelphia this is the tour to go on!

Thank you, thank you, thank you Chrissy for spending the afternoon with us, sharing your story, and allowing me to slow down and take a closer look at the city I was born and raised in. This was the perfect mother/daughter trip down memory lane 🥰

During the tour, we explored parts of our city to love and loathe. Chrissy’s passionate account of her history with our city was inspiring. Chrissy’s tour is not just for tourists, it is for anyone that shares an experience or connection with Philly!

Thank you Chrissy ❤️

Chrissy offers an experience that I wish EVERY major city offered-- an education on Gentrification. I loved that the meeting place was located in the City Hall area. It gives light to the overwhelming disparity that exist not only in Philly, but in most major cities. The comparison of the well maintained streets, sights and services that populate the downtown area, juxtaposed to the largely unkept, non-serviced predominantly black neighborhoods begins to tell the story of what most Black and Brown people already know. Kudos to Chrissy for telling the stories of those that are silenced, for educating the ones that don't know what they don't know and for caring. Her insight was priceless and I appreciate her love and devotion to making a difference. Thank you Chrissy!
